CLASSIFICATION: Hand-Woven Textile COMPOSITION: 100% Wool Face | Cotton Warp PALETTE: Cream & Black (Optical Grey) ROLE: The Monochromatic Anchor
Grey is rarely just grey. In the hands of a master weaver, it is a binary system.
The Flint Rug is a study in optical blending. By rigorously interlocking threads of stark Cream and deep Black, the weaver creates a visual vibration that resolves to the eye as a complex, stony texture resembling flint or slate.
Constructed with a 100% Wool face for tactile warmth and a Cotton warp for structural stability, this is not a "soft" rug in the weak sense. It is a dense, fibrous barrier between you and the subfloor. It provides the visual weight of stone with the comfort of natural fiber.

THE CURATOR'S NOTES
- Textile Engineering: The material choice is deliberate. The Wool Face provides the durability and stain resistance required for high-traffic zones, while the Cotton Warp provides the grip and flexibility that allows the rug to lay flat without curling.
- The "Third Color" Effect: From ten feet away, it reads as a solid, textural charcoal. From ten inches away, it reveals its binary construction. It adds complexity to a monochrome room without introducing a loud pattern.
- Acoustic Dampening: Wool is nature’s soundproofing. The density of this weave absorbs footfall and diminishes the echo in large, open-concept spaces.
- The Neutral Ground: This is the diplomat of the floor covering world. It bridges the gap between warm wood tones and cool modern furniture, anchoring the room without taking sides.
