CLASSIFICATION: Cultural Textile Architecture (Artisanal and Ethical) CONSTRUCTION: Hand-Woven (Back-Strap Loom Technique) PROVENANCE: Nahuala, Guatemala (Indigenous Maya Collective) ROLE: Permanent Cosmological and Cultural Anchor

This pillow is an artifact of high-integrity production, distinguished by its profound narrative. The textile was woven by a collective of women artisans using a back-strap loom, a time-honored, complex method that dates back over two thousand years.

The pattern represents a traditional motif from Nahuala, a village in the highlands of Guatemala. This motif is known as the "Universe Pillow" because it symbolizes the universe in Maya hand-weaving tradition. It is the perfect colorful patterned pillow for a space that demands both visual cheer and deep meaning.

Crucially, the production is managed in partnership with a non-profit organization on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
