This kit is an introduction to the art of needle felting—a sculptural technique that uses barbed needles to compress loose wool into dense, 3D forms. It allows you to construct a perfectly behaved, life-sized Wren that perches permanently on your desk or mantel.

It is not merely a toy; it is a study in texture and form. You are taking raw, organic materials and engineering them into a realistic avian likeness.

THE CURATOR'S NOTES

• The Construction Process: This project teaches the fundamentals of "additive sculpture." You will learn shaping, attaching features, and utilizing a wire armature to create the bird's legs. It is a satisfyingly tactile process.
• Material Integrity: We reject synthetic fillers. The kit includes three types of high-quality wool and an Eco Wool Felting Mat made from recycled, compostable material. It is a guilt-free fabrication.
• The Component List: The kit is comprehensive, containing the wool, two felting needles, glass eyes, and a Silk Clay beak for anatomical precision.
• The Tooling Requirement: Critical. While we provide the raw materials, you must provide the infrastructure. You will need clear glue (for the eyes), pliers (to bend the leg wire), and tape to complete the assembly.
• The Outcome: A 6cm tall companion that requires no feeding and never flies south.
