CLASSIFICATION: Micro-Architecture Kit STYLE: Haussmann Commercial DIMENSIONS: 6.3" x 6.1" x 7.0" DIFFICULTY: Intermediate Fabrication ROLE: Desktop Real Estate
Real estate in the 1st Arrondissement is prohibitively expensive and bureaucratically impossible. This kit is the workaround.
This micro-architecture project allows you to construct and curate your own slice of Parisian commercial frontage. It is not a dollhouse; it is a study in Haussmann-style aesthetics. You act as both the architect and the proprietor, building the furniture, folding the inventory, and wiring the lighting for a boutique that never closes and requires no staff.
It is a precise, detailed exercise in escapism. It offers the specific satisfaction of bringing order to a chaotic world, one glued joint at a time.

THE CURATOR'S NOTES
- The Fabrication Process: Critical. This is a construction site, not a finished product. You will cut timber, bend wire, and fold paper to create the inventory. It requires the steady hand of a watchmaker and the patience of a saint.
- The Lighting Plan: The kit includes an LED lighting rig to illuminate the interior. When lit in a dark room, it ceases to be a model and becomes a portal—a warm, inviting storefront on a rainy Paris night. (Note: You must supply the batteries; we supply the copper wire.)
- Architectural Scale: At roughly 7 inches high, it creates a significant visual anchor on a bookshelf. It commands attention without dominating the desk.
- The Aesthetic: It captures the "Je Ne Sais Quoi" of French retail—the clutter that somehow looks curated, and the inviting warmth of the perfect window display.
