CLASSIFICATION: Botanical Sculpture SUBJECT: Pallas Athena (Goddess of Wisdom & War) MATERIAL: Concrete Composite FINISH: Weathered Obsidian | Matte Black MASS: 17.6 lbs ROLE: The Stoic Guardian
Most garden statuary is decorative fluff. Athena is different. She is the Goddess of Wisdom, Strategy, and War. She does not merely sit in your garden; she presides over it.
Molded from a substantial concrete composite and finished in a deep, weathered matte black, this vessel rejects the cliché of the white marble bust. It looks excavated rather than manufactured—a relic pulled from the ruins of a darker, more interesting era.
Standing nearly 20 inches tall, she possesses the physical gravity required to anchor an entryway or a conservatory. She offers a stoic, contemplative presence that balances the chaos of the natural world with the order of the classical one.

THE CURATOR'S NOTES
- The Living Coiffure: The open cavity allows you to act as the stylist. Plant a Boston Fern for a wild, Medusa-like mane, or trailing English Ivy for a romantic, weeping effect. The plant completes the sculpture; without it, she is merely waiting.
- Reactive Surface: The concrete is engineered to interact with its environment. It will absorb salts, fertilizers, and rain, developing a unique, whitish patina over time. We do not consider this "staining"; we consider it character evolution.
- The Scale: At 19.25 inches high, this is not a small shelf knick-knack. It is a floor-standing or pedestal-grade piece. It demands vertical space.
- Thermal Logic: While durable, concrete obeys the laws of physics. Water expands when frozen. To prevent cracking, ensure proper drainage and protect her from hard freezes. She is a goddess, but she is not immune to thermodynamics.
